All of the various elements of a mobile data solution are

 integrated mobile field terminal - typically the
Xda or iPaq;

The whole package is available as subscription service, with
no up-front hardware, software or professional services costs.

ServiceNet price plans reflect the value you receive
from using the service and include a per transaction
element which is based on a price per job or task.
This means that small or occasional users with lower
service call volumes don’t pay as much as intensive

Automatic
Application Updates
We know you will want to change and adapt your field applications over
time, as your business changes - we learned that from our large
corporate customers over the years! That's why we developed our
own automatic software updating service - ESD (Electronic Software
Distribution). ESD is included with your ServiceNet plan
and is fully automatic, requiring no end user involvement.

Professionally
Hosted Service
The service is hosted on Telepartner Mercury Mobile Application servers
located in a secure environment. These enterprise strength machines
are fully protected against component failures with geographically dispersed
back-up, data duplication facilities and multiple communications
connections.

software and hardware architecture used is the same
as that installed at Telepartner enterprise customers,
many of whom use it to run very large field operations,
often pan-European with many hundreds of field staff
using the system daily. And of course, as new
Mercury features and releases become available we update
our servers to the current version, keeping you posted
on the new facilities available to you. |

Managed
GPRS Comms
The field application uses managed GPRS communications to deliver
guaranteed secure "push" job delivery.
Why "Managed" GPRS?

Security
Data to and from the field is compressed and encrypted in
transit for efficiency and security. On the device,
access to the application is user id and password protected
and further access to sensitive application screens can also
be protected. Database items on the field device can
optionally be encrypted and all data on the device can be
remotely 'wiped' in the event of security problem - such
as device theft.
